As a TikTok agency, we know the importance of leveraging key calendar dates on TikTok such as Valentine’s Day, and staying ahead to maximise engagement and drive successful campaigns for our clients.

According to TikTok, 44% of its users stated that they visit the platform specifically for inspiration on gift ideas.

To leverage this opportunity and convert casual scrollers into paying customers this Valentine’s Day, check out these easy content ideas!

Product based – Create content around showcasing your product

If you are a product based business, and you have items that you are trying to get users to buy, you need to think about how you can market this in a way that’s applicable to Valentine’s, but is also creative e.g. the perfect gift for your other half.

For example, we had a client that sold books, so we decided to make the books into a bouquet so it looked different and eye-catching (and also just really cool!)

Community based – The best dating spots or cheap dating activities

If you’re a community page based in a certain location, show off the best dating spots around your city or how to go on a date in your city for £20 (or free dating activities!)

By providing valuable and inspirational content, you can strengthen community engagement and support local businesses, while appealing to the wider audience in your location.

Hospitality based – Involve your staff for Valentine’s Day

If you are a brand within the hospitality sector, think about showcasing the memorable experience they can make or ways to actively involve your staff more in your content.

People are always intrigued to see the ‘behind the scenes’. Think about what will make you stand out – how you can jump on a Valentine’s Day trend, make something humorous, create a parody, to further enhance your brand’s appeal and customer engagement.

What are those things that are relatable to people on Valentine’s Day that you can lock in, so you’re content comes across as really authentic and resonates with your audience.

Other Content Ideas

If your brand/account doesn’t fit into the ideas we have previously mentioned, you could try focusing your content to fit your niche around other Valentine’s related content such as:

Empowerment or Galentine’s/friendship content

Consider highlighting stories of self-love and independence, sharing empowering quotes or affirmations, and promoting Valentine’s activities that encourage personal growth and development i.e. self care night in.

As Miley once said, I can buy myself flowers!

Also think about offering fun ‘Galentine’s’ activities people can do with their friends and incorporate this into your content.

This approach not only taps into the growing trend of celebrating friendship but also broadens the appeal of your campaigns.

By aligning your content with these themes, this is a great way to add instant relatability to your brand if this type of content fits your audience/niche.
