As a TikTok agency, we have experience with growing communities across multiple client accounts as well as establishing and growing our own communities on TikTok.

Building and maintaining your community on TikTok is one of the most fundamental components of finding success as a brand on the platform.

Going viral is great, but increasing your average engagement is even better.

Here are 5 key things to help your brand grow it’s TikTok community:

Be active and post often

Consistent posting on TikTok is crucial for several reasons.

It helps the algorithm recognise your account as active and relevant, potentially increasing visibility.

Even if your brand can only manage three posts a week, regular activity is key for training the algorithm.

Testing optimal posting times can reveal engagement patterns, maximising the impact of your content.

Engaging with the TikTok community by liking, commenting, and sharing relevant content can foster connections and increase exposure.

Drawing inspiration from trends and fellow creators helps maintain the quality and creativity of your content.

Community management is key

Interacting with your own audience is vital for growing your community on TikTok successfully.

It fosters engagement, builds relationships with your audience, and enhances the overall user experience.

By actively interacting with your community, liking and responding to comments, and engaging with other brands and creators, you can create a supportive and dynamic environment that encourages participation and loyalty.

This, in turn, can lead to increased visibility, follower growth, and the potential for your content to reach a wider audience.

By building a loyal community, brands can transform casual viewers into devoted advocates, driving sustained success.

Post content relevant to your niche

The TikTok algorithm will initially show your content to a test group of around 300-500 viewers.

If this content resonates well within this initial audience, it will be automatically delivered to a significantly larger user base.

Therefore it’s important to tailor your content to reach the right audience so it shows in your followers FYP.

Be creative and authentic!

Creativity and authenticity is crucial for success on TikTok.

Ensure the content you produce stays authentic to your brand as well as your audience.

Avoid repurposing content from other platforms and instead fully embrace TikTok and create original material.

This will enable you to show a different side of your brand, which can help you connect with your audience on a deeper level and build a community within that niche or ‘Tok’.

Make use of TikTok’s features

One of the biggest challenges for brands is creating content that looks and feels like a TikTok.

TikTok users quickly scroll past content that doesn’t fit the platform’s vibe without a second thought.

Features are a quick and easy win to make your content look more native to the platform and build your community, use them!!

These include:

  • Responding to comments with video
  • Green screen
  • Duet
  • Music
  • Labels
  • Stitch

As a TikTok agency, we use native features on both organic and paid content and the results speak for themselves!
