As a TikTok agency, we know that with the introduction of long form content on TikTok, we are starting to see more creators experiment with storytelling on the platform and see success.

The TikTok sensation Reesa Teesa, has proved that TikTok isn’t just for short 10-20 second videos, and that creating a series can work.

This comes after she recorded the viral “Who TF did I marry?” 50-part series (lasting more than 8 hours) on TikTok in February about her pathological liar ex-husband.

This involved her doing a TikTok live then posting the outrageously gripping story in different parts.

She really gave us a series AND a reunion.

She now has over 3.6 million followers and counting with users now referring to her as ‘Reesa Teesa Tok’.

The views across her videos are astronomical.

With tens of millions of views and the comments are flooded with her now extremely invested audience.

She is now being interviewed on the likes of Good Morning America.

As well as featured in numerous publications such as Daily Mail, ABC News, Forbes.

As demonstrated by Reesa, creating a series could just be the future of long form content on TikTok.

From a brand’s perspective, this shows that there is an opportunity to really engage with your audience and through storytelling, build that invested relationship with them.

We are interested to see what brands will learn from this and who will follow suit!
